Many poses that you perform in a typical yoga class can help you develop a stronger core! For example, the downward facing dog pose can effectively strengthen your external oblique muscles.[iii]

4. Sleep Better

In today’s society, where people are constantly surrounded by technology and connected to the outside world around the clock, many people struggle with the ability to get a good night’s sleep! Regularly practicing yoga can help you get more shut-eye![iv]

5. Develop Balance

Another area that many typical yoga poses focus on improving is your balance. Many yoga poses require significant balance, thus improving your overall balance in everyday activities! [v]
